Cathleen A. Baker (M.A. 1985)
Cathy's theseis on Syracuse University's set of J.J. Audobon's Bird's of America won a Graduate School Master's Prize in 1985. She has had a distinguished career as a paper conservator, both teaching and in private practice.
Renée George Burnam (M.A. Florence Fellow, 1982; Ph.D. 1988)
Renée is a member the American committee of the Corpus Vitrearum and has published the book Le Vetrate da Pisa (Italian Corpus Vitrearum, 2002).
Mary Ann Calo (M.A. 1981)
Mary Ann is Professor of Art History and former Chair of the Art and Art History Department, Colgate University. Her most recent book, Distinction and Denial: The Critical Construction of the African-American Artist (University of Michigan Press) appeared in 2007.
Carol Eggert (M.A. 1998)
Carol earned an M.S. in conservation from the University of Delaware and went on to work as a paper conservator at the Corcoran Art Gallery, the Smithsonian Institution, and the Library of Congress. Since starting a family, she has gone into private practice as a paper conservator.
Erika Fiutak (MA.1998)
Erika's thesis on Edward Hopper won a Graduate School Master's Prize in 1998. She is a teacher of art at Christain Brother's Academy.
Robyn Fleming (B.A. 1997)
Robyn lives in New York City where she works as a librarian in the renowned library of The Metropolitan Museum of Art.
Angela Garcia (B.A. 1997)
Angela is Manager for Cultural Services at
the Centro Cultural Eduardo León Jimenes, a collection of visual arts and anthropology in Santiago, Dominican Republic. Previously she earned an M.A. in art history at City College and worked in the Education Department of El Museo del Barrio in New York.
Monica Hahn-Koenig (M.A. 1995)
Monica is an adjunct professor of art history at the University of the Arts, Philadelphia.
Marlene Hamann (M.A. 1993)
Marlene has for several years been associate curator of education at the Memorial Art Gallery, Rochester.
Alyce Jordan (B.A. 1981; M.A. 1987)
After receiving her M.A. in art history, Alyce went on to receive a Ph.D. from Bryn Mawr College. Alyce is currently a faculty member at Northern Arizona University.
Rebecca Lawton (M.A.198 )
Becky is Curator of Paintings and Sculpture at the Amon Carter Museum, Fort Worth. She previously held curatorial posts at the Delaware Art Museum and the Vassar College Museum.
Martha Lucy (M.A. 1995)
Martha completed her Ph.D. in nineteenth-century art at the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University in 2003,and has been appointed Associate Curator at the Barnes Foundation, Merion, PA
Ulka Patel (B.A. 1995)
A year after graduating from Syracuse, Ulka entered law school at the University of Oregon. She currently practices law in the Washington D.C. area.
Nathan Peek (B.A. 1995)
Nathan, who lives in Washington D.C., is employed by the National Gallery of Art.
Maureen Quigley (M.A. 1995)
Maureen received her PhD. from the University of Texas at Austin, with a speciality in medieval art. She is now an assistant professor of art history at the University of St. Louis.
Deborah Winderl Ryan (M.A.1994)
is chief curator of the Everson Museum of Art in Syracuse. She was formerly registrar of the Munson-Williams-Proctor Institute in Utica.
Lindsay Schuckart (B.A. 1999)
Lindsay completed her M.A. in Art History at Boston University in 2001 and is now working as the Collections Manager of the private art collection of the New York Yacht Club in Manhattan.
Jeffrey Shurdut (B.A. 1989)
An artist by profession, Jeffrey now resides in New York City.
Wendy Streule (M.A. 1999)
Wendy is a Ph.D. candidate at Rutgers University, specializing in seventeenth-century Dutch art.
Erick Wilberding (M.A. 1989)
After leaving Syracuse, Erick received a Ph.D. in art history from the Institute of Fine Arts, New York University. He now lives in Rome where he teaches courses for American undergraduate students in Italy and continues to conduct research on Nicolas Poussin and his circle.
