Upcoming Events


Tuesday, October 4, Folk Arts Rajasthan and a group of Merasi musicians from Jaisalmer will be on campus for two exciting events. These events are part of the 2016-17 Humanities Center Symposium.

At 12:30 pm in 341 Eggers, the performers will discuss the history of their community and the marginalization that they have faced. Lunch will be served. Please RSVP to me by September 30 if you plan to come.

At 8 pm in Slocum Auditorium, they will be performing the songs of the Rajasthan desert.

Alice Blank, a senior in our department, has been named SU Scholar, and she's garnered the Sidney Thomas prize for the best undergraduate paper in art history.
